Omey Island Last Man Standing
On one typically rainy morning back in 2007, I picked up a lone hitchhiker near my home in Clifden. The man turned out to be Pascal Whelan, he was hitching a lift back to Claddaghduff, a small town located on the mainland just across from the tidal island of Omey around fifteen minutes drive away. Though our journey was brief we managed to fit a lot into our conversation. He casually mentioned that he had spent years travelling the world while working as a stuntman. My interest was sparked and the following day we met again, it was then we decided to collaborate on a photo project, not knowing where it would lead.
